Overview
This policy explains the information processed when you use Flight Status & Tracking, including its flight lookup and Smart Content features.

Flight Lookups
When you check a flight, the extension sends the flight number, selected travel date, and an extension installation identifier to our service. Our service sends the flight number and date to a flight-data provider and returns available status and tracking details. Technical request information, such as IP address, browser user agent, timestamps, and error data, may also be processed for security, reliability, troubleshooting, and rate limiting.
Flight lookups are not maintained as a personal search-history profile on our server. Responses may be held briefly in a shared cache to improve speed and reduce duplicate provider requests.
Installation and Operational Data
When the extension is installed, uninstalled, or communicates with our service, we may record the installation identifier, event timestamps, IP address, browser user agent, referral or distribution source, and network-derived location information such as country, region, city, postal area, approximate coordinates, and time zone. This is not precise device GPS data. We use these records for attribution, feature eligibility, security, abuse prevention, service operation, and aggregate reporting.
Information Stored on Your Device
The extension uses browser storage for its installation identifier, preferences, widget state, Smart Content settings, and recent flight searches. Recent searches are kept locally so you can repeat a lookup and can be cleared by clearing extension data or removing the extension.
How We Use Information

- To secure, rate-limit, troubleshoot, and improve the service.
- To respond when you contact support.
Service Providers and Third-Party Links
We share the minimum information needed with service providers that supply flight data, hosting, security, analytics, or Smart Content. Third-party pages opened from the extension have their own privacy practices. Flight data, including live position, may be delayed, incomplete, or unavailable.
Security and Retention
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the service. We retain operational and Smart Content records only as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, legal obligations, dispute resolution, and abuse prevention.
Children
Flight Status & Tracking is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Your Choices
You can clear locally stored extension data, pause Smart Content for 48 hours from the extension controls, or uninstall the extension. Smart Content restores automatically when the 48-hour pause ends. For privacy questions, contact us at [email protected].
